The Abdullatif Jameel Racing Team – Lexus – made a remarkable presence in the inaugural round of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb Championship 2025, held at Al-Mohammadiyah Ascent in the Al-Shifa region of Taif Governorate. The event was supervised by the Ministry of Sports and organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, in cooperation with the Saudi Race Organizers Club. The championship saw 65 competitors classified into 11 categories.
The team tackled the challenge of the first round on a unique mountainous track spanning 4.2 kilometers, with an elevation ranging from 1900 meters to 2150 meters above sea level. This high-level competitive environment demanded exceptional skill and focus.
The Lexus team’s results in the round were as follows:
- Captain Abdullah Al-Khuraiji, driving a Lexus RCF, secured a well-deserved first place in Class 4A, reaffirming his continuous superiority in this category for the second consecutive year.
- Captain Ali Al-Khudair, in a Lexus LC500, achieved second place, continuing his distinguished performance in Class 4B.
- Captain Mohammed Abdulghafer secured third place in his debut with the team, driving a Lexus IS350 in Class 5A, marking a strong start to his career with the team.
- Captain Mashaael Al-Howaish achieved third place in a Lexus RC300 in Class 5B, confirming her position as one of the most prominent female names in Saudi motorsport.
This achievement by the Lexus Racing Team is a continuation of a series of successes in the previous edition of the championship. It reflects their commitment to delivering exceptional performance levels across various race categories, while emphasizing the quality of their vehicles and the high readiness of their drivers.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Hill Climb Championship is considered one of the most prominent motorsport events in the Kingdom. It consists of three rounds, all held at Al-Mohammadiyah Ascent in Al-Shifa. The second round will take place from July 18-19, and the championship will conclude with the third round from August 7-9, 2025.
