The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia Highlights U.S. Partnerships in Film and Creative Industries at the Red Sea International Film Festival

The U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah highlighted American leadership in cinema, creative technologies, and the entertainment industry on the sidelines of the Red Sea International Film Festival, emphasizing the distinguished and continuous role of the United States as a global hub for storytelling and creative innovation.

The Consulate affirmed the U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s growing creative economy through specialized and effective professional development programs. This includes ongoing collaboration with Global Media Makers, Creative Africa Television, and the Middle East Media Initiative, implemented by the Independent Filmmaker Project and the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts—programs aimed at connecting filmmakers with American industry professionals and enhancing creative and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

Steven Ebiele, Chief of the Cultural and Media Affairs Section, stated: “These initiatives reflect our shared commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s creative ambitions and ensuring the continued presence of American innovation, expertise, and talent in this dynamic and growing partnership.”

This year’s festival also reflects the continued growth of commercial partnerships between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the participation of the Saudi Film Commission in the American Film Market contributes to expanding opportunities for co-production, investment, and strengthening commercial and creative ties between the two nations.
