Female Business Leader Spotlight: Garima Menghwani

Tell us about yourself and your background

I’m Garima — a Business Development and Marketing Head at Ksquare Mortgage Advisory, a people’s person, a seeker, and above all, someone deeply rooted in value-driven living. I was born into a family where connection wasn’t just social, it was sacred. We grew up solving problems over shared meals, referring people with sincerity, and learning to listen to needs, not just hear them.

Today, in the busy rhythm of Dubai, I carry those early life lessons like compass points in boardrooms, bank meetings, and coffee catch-ups with clients.

I am also a wife and a daughter and daughter-in-law -in-law they are roles that ground me in humility and give me the emotional intelligence to serve better. My husband, my anchor and biggest luxury in lif,e has taught me what books could not: the art of patience, the power of pausing, and the strength in silence. He’s a great listener, and being with him has made me one too. It’s a quality that now defines how I approach clients because sometimes, listening is the greatest advisory skill.

What has been your biggest career success?

It’s easy to talk about files closed and milestones hit, but my real success lies in the quiet calls from past clients who say, “Garima, you were right. Thank you.”

One such moment was when I helped a family friend, someone close to my late father. Despite his struggles with self-employment documents, I rebuilt his mortgage file from scratch, and today he’s ready to buy his second home. That case wasn’t about commission. It was about redemption, trust, and giving back to him, and to the version of myself that once doubted if this field could have heart.

What is it that you currently do?

I lead purpose-led mortgage advisory at Ksquare, with a focus on turning confusion into clarity and financial chaos into confidence. I work across resident and non-resident profiles, off-plan and ready homes, self-employed and salaried, but my real work is decoding people’s financial fears and helping them make peace with money.

What is your mission?

My mission isn’t to be known for the number for revenue of clients for my company.
It’s to be known as the team that made people feel seen, safe, and sorted.

I want to build a space, not just digital or professional but emotional and enduring, where people come to make big decisions with calm hearts and clear minds. Mortgage doesn’t have to be messy. It can be a celebration of what’s next.

How has your corporate experience benefited & driven you in your transition to community-focused business leadership?

My early years in Banking taught me performance, precision, and power. But it was life — my community, my kitchen conversations, and even my home that taught me meaning. That combination makes me both data-driven and deeply human.

Today, I see beyond files and look into lives. My community approach is rooted in shared wins, emotional currency, and a future where we all rise, not just profit.

What is one project that you have spearheaded?

Starting the Women Referral Circle.

I saw women who had networks, friends, family, neighbors, instincts, and voices, but no platform. We created a referral system where they could earn from their empathy, not just their effort. These weren’t just referrer,s they were relationship builders. Today, they speak finance with the same confidence they speak family, and that is my proudest work.

You are a supporter of women’s empowerment. How are you empowering women through financial awareness and opportunity?

By giving them ownership of outcomes and Financial Confidence, not only Freedom.

We train women to become mortgage referrers with ethics, transparency, and zero pressure. They get to earn with integrity, not by pushing products but by sharing the right people at the right time. It’s empowering when a homemaker calls me and says, “I referred someone who bought a home.” That feeling? Priceless.

Because when women earn, they rise, and when they rise, communities shift.

Tell us about your women-led referral ecosystem and why you believe women make the strongest and most trusted referrers.

Women are natural connectors. We’ve grown up referring the right doctor, tailor, or recipe. Now imagine what happens when we apply that instinct to something as powerful as home financing.

Through my program, women earn with integrity. No pressure. No jargon. Just genuine guidance and meaningful income. I believe women are the most trusted referrers because when we believe in something, we share it with heart.

In your current role, how are you reclaiming trust, transparency, and loyalty in a fast-moving property market?

By being okay with saying no.

No to shortcuts. No to uninformed decisions. No to anything that could hurt my client later. I help people slow down, reflect, and decide wisely, even if it means walking away from a deal.

And clients remember that. Loyalty comes not from what you push, but what you protect them from.

What is your current focus?

I’m focused on creating a community-first, income-generating ecosystem that values wisdom over noise, empathy over urgency, and truth over trends.

We’re not building a business. We’re building financial wellness, one honest conversation at a time.

Let’s be real: mortgages have a bad rep. People think they’re confusing, overwhelming, or “last resort.” I’m here to break that myth.

Mortgages, when structured right, are your best financial tool. They offer leverage, freedom, and a way to grow without burning your savings. Think of it like a custom-tailored suit or Doctor’s Advice — yes, it takes effort and understanding, but once it’s delivered, you feel powerful, not burdened/suffering.

As I always say:

“The burden is not in the process — the burden is in misunderstanding it.”

How is your approach unique?

I’m not here to be a “mortgage girl.”
I’m here to be your financial compass.

Everyone has data. I bring insight and alignment. I listen, I question, and I find structures that speak to your life, not just the market rate.

You don’t need a rate.
You need a guide.
That’s me.

What is your leadership philosophy?

It’s a mix of Coffee wisdom and boardroom grit. I lead like I’d host: with warmth, purpose, and enough space for everyone to shine.

I believe leadership isn’t about being the loudest in the room, but the one who listens hardest, lifts others up, and leads with integrity even when no one’s watching. The goal? Grow people, not just numbers.

As a leader, what do you believe makes a great company culture?

It’s not just bean bags and birthday cakes, it’s belonging, belief, and bravery.

As a leader, I believe the best cultures are built when people feel safe to speak up, seen for who they truly are, and supported not just to perform but to grow.

When purpose aligns with empathy, and expectations come with empowerment, you don’t just build teams, you build tribes. That’s when the real magic (and momentum) begins.

What is your favourite leadership quote?
“Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” – Jack Welch

A reminder that leadership is the transition from me to we.

Looking ahead, what are your career goals? What legacy do you hope to leave?

I want to prove something not to the world, but to the young girl in me who once dreamed big and was told to tone it down.

I want her to know:

“You were right to dream, and you were strong to stay different.”

My legacy will be this:
A platform built with effort, love, and loyalty.
A community that earns with ethics.
A space that grows because it gives.
A life where my profession is my aspiration and my spouse is my satisfaction.
Together, we are always searching for our Ikigai — that magical crossroad between what we’re good at, what the world needs, and what lights us up inside.

I may not have arrived yet.
But every home I help build… is a brick in that dream.
