Company Spotlight: Krishna Tanwani, Analytiks Inc.

Tell us about yourself and your background.

I started my career in business and finance in the Philippines, including early roles at institutions like HSBC, where I was exposed to large-scale operations and complex decision-making environments. While I have a formal background in management—I hold a Master of Science in Management from the University of Asia & the Pacific—I’ve always been drawn to technology and its potential to transform how businesses operate.

That curiosity led me to teach myself how to code and eventually engage with early-stage startups, where I began working more directly at the intersection of data, strategy, and innovation. Over time, that experience pulled me deeper into the field of AI and Data Science, where I’ve now spent over a decade helping organizations across sectors—from financial services and consumer goods to energy and government—translate data into scalable, real-world solutions. I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients such as AIA, Coca-Cola, CIMB, and KPMG, and across those engagements, I saw a recurring challenge: while organizations recognized the potential of AI, many struggled to implement it effectively.

That realization led me to co-found Analytiks Inc., an AI and Data Science consultancy focused on enabling organizations to operationalize AI in a way that is scalable, practical, and aligned with their strategic priorities. We deliver end-to-end strategies, bespoke solutions, and structured training programs designed to build long-term capability and drive measurable business outcomes. Today, I lead the company’s growth across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where we’re supporting clients in adopting secure and scalable AI.

Tell us about Analytiks.

Analytiks is an AI and Data Science consultancy founded in 2018 with a clear mission: to help organizations embed AI into day‑to‑day operations in a way that’s future‑ready and aligned with strategic priorities. We support enterprise clients across industries—including financial services, consumer goods, energy, and media—and have delivered over 100 business-focused use cases to date, working with a range of organizations from high-growth companies to Fortune Global 500.

Our work spans three core areas: strategy consulting, solution delivery, and capability development. Whether we’re building predictive models, deploying enterprise-grade platforms, or delivering structured training programs, we take a hands-on approach grounded in clarity, customization, and impact. We also support on-premise deployments—critical for clients with strict data privacy requirements—and offer expertise in emerging areas like Generative AI, helping organizations build internal copilots and implement Agentic AI systems to automate key workflows.

Over the years, we’ve helped clients reduce fraud, improve risk detection, and accelerate decision-making—demonstrating how well-designed AI solutions can drive real operational and financial outcomes. We currently operate across Southeast Asia and have recently expanded into the Middle East, with a focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Our goal remains the same: to be a trusted partner in transforming AI from a technical ambition into a core operational capability.

What inspired you to found the company?

The idea for Analytiks came from my time at an AI startup focused on developing and selling deep learning solutions. Through that experience, I consistently saw a disconnect between the potential of AI and how organizations were actually implementing it. Most projects never moved beyond the conceptual or experimental stage, despite demonstrating clear value—across industries like financial services, consumer goods, and energy.

What became clear to us was that successfully implementing AI requires more than just a technical shift—it also demands cultural and organizational change. That realization inspired us to found Analytiks, with a focus on making AI practical, scalable, and fully embedded in business processes. From the beginning, our goal has been to deliver end-to-end AI solutions that move beyond experimentation and drive real impact—whether that means improving decision-making, reducing risk, or enabling new capabilities within the organization.

On a personal level, I’ve always been passionate about technology and how it can be used to solve complex business problems. It’s a mission I’ve carried throughout my career: helping organizations not just adopt technology, but truly maximize its potential in ways that are sustainable and aligned with their goals.

What is your company mission?

Our mission at Analytiks is to help organizations unlock the full value of AI and Data Science by turning them into solutions for real-world impact. We believe that AI should be practical, responsible, and aligned with business strategy—not just a technical initiative. Whether through tailored consulting, solution delivery, or capability development, our focus is on helping clients embed AI in a way that creates measurable value—and build future-proof capabilities that evolve with their needs.

How are you unique in the marketplace?

What sets Analytiks apart is our ability to bridge strategic insight with deep technical expertise—delivering AI solutions that are not only technically sound, but designed for real-world business adoption. While many firms focus either on advisory or execution, we combine both: helping clients move from vision to implementation with clarity and speed.

We also bring an award-winning methodology—recognized through our work on a fraud detection solution—that enables us to extract maximum value from enterprise data. This framework informs how we scope, design, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals, data maturity, and compliance requirements.

In addition, we support on-premise deployments for clients with strict data privacy mandates, and offer specialized capabilities in Generative AI, helping organizations implement internal copilots, automate workflows, and unlock new efficiencies. Paired with our structured capability-building programs—which have trained over 500 data science practitioners across Southeast Asia—we don’t just deliver solutions, we equip teams to own and scale them over time.

What has been your biggest success as a company?

One of our biggest successes as a company has been earning the trust of large enterprises across industries—including global corporations like Coca-Cola. Being chosen by these organizations to lead their AI and Data Science initiatives speaks to both the depth of our technical expertise and our ability to deliver solutions that align closely with business needs.

For example, we worked with a regional medical insurer to develop a fraud detection engine that integrated business rules, historical data, and evolving fraud techniques. The result was a 60% reduction in false positives—allowing the company to improve efficiency and focus on genuine risk cases. That kind of measurable, real-world outcome is what we aim for in every project.

Alongside solution delivery, we’ve also trained over 500 data science practitioners across Southeast Asia—helping organizations build internal capability and scale AI more sustainably.

More than any one implementation, though, our continued partnerships with industry leaders are the real achievement. They reflect our ability to deliver consistent value, scale across geographies, and support clients over time as their data and AI maturity evolve.

What is the biggest challenge facing organizations right now?

One of the biggest challenges organizations face today is cutting through the hype around AI—especially with the rapid rise of Generative AI—and identifying where these technologies can create real, lasting value. Many companies feel pressure to adopt AI quickly, but without a clear strategy, this often leads to fragmented initiatives, stalled pilots, or solutions that fail to scale.

On top of that, infrastructure and regulatory concerns present real barriers—particularly in industries where data privacy and control are non-negotiable. Many off-the-shelf solutions are cloud-first and not always viable for sectors like finance or government, which require more secure, on-premise deployments.

This is where we come in. We help organizations take a step back and approach AI with clarity and purpose. We work with clients to define where AI can have a meaningful impact, then support them through the full lifecycle: from strategic planning and solution development to internal enablement and capability building. Whether it’s deploying predictive models, integrating Generative AI into secure environments, or training teams to use these tools effectively, our focus is always on turning AI into a core driver of business value.

You have a wealth of experience working with leading banks, FMCG companies, government agencies, and enterprises in Southeast Asia. How are you applying this experience to the MENA region?

Our experience working with leading organizations in Southeast Asia has given us a strong foundation in delivering AI within complex, regulated, and fast-evolving environments. We’ve supported banks, consumer goods companies, and government agencies in addressing real-world challenges—such as aligning data initiatives with business strategy, scaling AI adoption across departments, and building internal teams that can sustain innovation.

These lessons are directly applicable as we expand our footprint into the MENA region. In markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, we’re bringing not just technical expertise, but a proven enterprise-ready framework for AI implementation. We understand the importance of data sovereignty, infrastructure readiness, and regulatory compliance—and we’ve designed our solutions to accommodate these needs, including on-premise deployment for sectors where control and privacy are paramount.

More importantly, we recognize that every organization operates in a unique context. Our approach in the region emphasizes flexibility, cultural alignment, and deep collaboration—ensuring that AI is not just deployed, but adopted in a way that’s secure, scalable, and aligned with long-term strategic goals.

Following your recent expansion to the Middle East, how are you revolutionizing the way businesses in the UAE and Saudi Arabia use high-impact AI solutions and data science?

There’s a strong interest in AI across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with many organizations eager to explore how it can drive growth and innovation. However, we’ve found that while the appetite is high, there are key challenges—particularly around implementation and infrastructure. Many companies are still figuring out where AI fits, what solutions will generate the most value, and how to adapt their teams and systems accordingly.

We help clients navigate this complexity by bringing both deep technical know-how and a strategic, transformation-focused approach. We work closely with stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases, design scalable solutions, and build internal capability to support adoption. We also provide on-premise deployment options—critical in sectors with strict data control requirements—and support emerging needs around Generative AI, including copilots and secure automation.

By aligning solutions with business priorities and operational realities, we help organizations move confidently from interest to impact.

Do you have a case study you can share?

Yes, we’ve worked on several impactful projects across industries. One example is with a medical insurance provider, where we developed an AI-powered fraud detection engine to enhance claims processing. We took a multi-angle approach—integrating their existing business rules, analyzing historical fraud cases, and incorporating emerging fraud patterns. The result was a 60% reduction in false positives, allowing their teams to focus more efficiently on genuine cases.

Another case was with a regional bank, where we built a credit risk model to monitor their credit card portfolio and assess potential defaults. By combining KYC data, transactional behavior, and other risk indicators, we developed a predictive model with over 70% accuracy. When benchmarked against the bank’s current system, it showed the potential to reduce defaults by as much as 27%.

In a third case, we partnered with a major bank to run a comprehensive AI and Data Science training program. Over the course of the engagement, participants developed more than 15 function-specific AI projects—several of which were successfully implemented, demonstrating the direct operational impact of internal capability-building.

What future trends do you see in the industry?

There are a few key trends that we believe will shape the next phase of AI adoption.

The first is the evolution of Generative AI from experimentation to enterprise-grade applications. While the initial wave focused on creative tools, organizations are now exploring how Generative AI can enhance operations—whether through internal copilots, customer support automation, or intelligent document processing. The challenge is building these solutions securely, responsibly, and in ways that scale.

Another major trend is the growing emphasis on governance, transparency, and responsible AI. As adoption increases—especially in regulated sectors—organizations will need frameworks to ensure explainability, fairness, and compliance. It’s no longer enough to have a high-performing model; it has to be accountable.

We’re also seeing a shift toward AI integration into full business workflows, not just as standalone pilots. AI is moving from being a side project to a core operational enabler.

Finally, infrastructure is evolving. With increasing concern over data sovereignty and system control, there’s rising demand for on-premise and hybrid deployments, especially in sectors like finance and government.

All of these trends point to one thing: AI is moving from being a niche innovation to something that’s embedded in how businesses operate.

Growth is integral to the life of any business. What are your growth goals?

Our growth strategy is anchored on two key pillars. The first is market expansion, particularly in the Middle East. We’ve recently established a stronger presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where we see a growing appetite for AI adoption and digital transformation. These markets are prioritizing innovation at the national level, and we see a clear opportunity to support organizations in moving beyond pilots and toward enterprise-scale implementation. Our focus is on being a long-term partner in that journey—delivering solutions that are secure, practical, and aligned with regional goals.

The second area is product development. We’re investing in a suite of pre-built AI solutions and accelerators that clients can deploy quickly, without compromising flexibility. These include fraud detection systems, risk modeling tools, demand forecasting models, and intelligent document processing solutions. Designed for fast implementation and enterprise integration, these products help organizations shorten time-to-value and scale AI more efficiently across their operations.

These two pillars are reinforced by our continued focus on strategic consulting and organizational enablement—ensuring our clients scale AI adoption for lasting, business‑level impact.
