Tell us about your company Mavicore.

Mavicore is a specialized project management and execution company that supports dynamic players in the global construction industry in reducing inefficiencies, driving growth, and minimizing overall project risks for all stakeholders.

What led to you founding the company?

After 13 years in leadership roles within the European Life Sciences construction industry, I observed recurring challenges across the entire lifecycle of major capital investment projects. Large-scale programs were often delivered using outdated approaches, leaving significant room for improvement across all stakeholders — from executing contractors to project investors. This realization led me to found Mavicore, with the ambition to introduce a leaner, more modern and performance-driven alternative for the industry.

To redefine construction performance by eliminating inefficiencies, unlocking global talent, and delivering sustainable, high-impact solutions at scale.

With over 13 years of hands-on experience on major construction projects, we understand the realities of on-site execution and the complexity behind large-scale investments. What services do you offer and what markets do you operate in?

Our services combine strategic project management support and market access expertise with real execution capabilities — including workforce solutions, mechanical piping, prefabrication, 3D BIM design, and commissioning support — ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion.

Tell us more about how the construction project lifecycle works and how you support the key players.

Every project is unique, yet all projects follow fundamental principles that define the overall lifecycle. Typically, a project can be divided into three core phases:

Initiation & Planning, Execution & Monitoring, and Completion & Closure.

Each phase requires a distinct focus and presents specific challenges that must be addressed with the right expertise and timing.

Initiation & Planning
During this early stage, we support clients with cost calculation and budgeting, schedule analysis and planning, as well as 3D design and constructability reviews. The objective is to create clarity, feasibility, and a solid execution foundation before major commitments are made.

Execution & Monitoring
In the delivery phase, we provide project controls support, vendor management, digital PMO services, and risk & governance assurance. We also manage contractor work packages and, where required, execute projects through joint ventures with experienced specialized contractors.

Completion & Closure
At the final stage, we support commissioning activities and provide strategic advisory services to ensure a structured handover, operational readiness, and long-term performance.

What has been your biggest success since launching?

We supported a client during the tender phase of a major multi-million project in Switzerland by professionalizing internal structures and strengthening their overall market positioning. Our involvement included detailed project cost calculation, direct engagement with key stakeholders and shareholders on site, preparation of all required technical and commercial documentation, and structured management of client procedures and meetings in line with industry standards. The result was the successful contract award and the acquisition of a new international client. For Mavicore, this engagement evolved into a long-term partnership and preferred partner status. By helping the client scale rapidly and position themselves professionally within a highly competitive environment, we created sustainable value beyond the initial tender support.

What interesting projects have you been involved in?

We supported a major construction company in Central Europe by supplying highly specialized engineering professionals tailored to their specific project requirements.

In parallel, we assisted a client with four simultaneous project tenders in Germany and Switzerland, providing structured support across technical, commercial, and strategic aspects.

We are currently engaged in business development activities for one client, preparing market entry and expanding access into new countries.

Additionally, we provide strategic matchmaking services, placing top-tier engineering and management talent on complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects worldwide.

Can you share a case study?

A client was bidding for a complex project in the chemical industry for a major global corporation and required support in strengthening their overall company setup and tender approach.

While the client possessed strong technical execution experience, they lacked the required management structure, governance framework, and professional positioning expected within this highly regulated industry. Mavicore was engaged to close this gap.

Our scope included:

  • Comprehensive analysis of the project documentation
  • Structuring and defining all required submission documents and protocols
  • Development of a detailed execution concept
  • Full project cost calculation, including cross-border and international execution considerations
  • 3D model reviews and constructability input
  • Schedule development and alignment
  • Streamlining communication with investors and general contractors in accordance with industry standards
  • Leading and coordinating the entire tender process through to final negotiations

The result was the successful award of a multi-million investment contract. Investors and planners explicitly recognized and acknowledged the professional structure, clarity, and execution concept that differentiated our client from competitors. This engagement demonstrated how structured governance, strategic positioning, and execution clarity can significantly increase tender success rates in highly competitive environments.

How do you see the industry growing over the decade?

The global construction industry follows cyclical investment patterns driven largely by major CAPEX programs that determine where and how large-scale infrastructure is developed. Over the next decade, significant investment is expected in the Data Center, AI, and Semiconductor sectors. The accelerating global demand for AI-driven and cloud-based services is fueling the need for advanced computing capacity and, consequently, for high-performance semiconductor production. This, in turn, is driving substantial growth in hyperscale data center construction worldwide. These developments also create increasing demand for power generation, grid infrastructure, and energy optimization solutions, as hyperscale data centers require enormous and reliable energy capacities. At the same time, the Life Sciences industry is projected to experience steady and sustainable growth. Demand will continue to rise organically due to global population growth, aging demographics, and the increasing focus on longevity, advanced therapies, and high-quality healthcare solutions. Together, these sectors represent structurally resilient and capital-intensive markets that will shape global construction priorities for years to come.
