Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy signs MoU with Geneva Chamber of Commerce, industry, and services

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between private sector companies in Dubai and Geneva and promote investment opportunities in promising business sectors including digital technologies, cleantech, health, education, commodities trading, and financing.

Under the terms of the MoU, the two parties will support Geneva-based companies in benefitting from Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global export hub and promising investment destination, while also assisting Dubai-based companies in expanding into Geneva in key trade and investment sectors. In addition, the agreement outlines the joint development of a platform for cross-cultural training and capacity building for doing business across different cultures and languages.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Vincent Subilia, Director General of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, in the presence of leaders and officials from both sides.

It also becomes a natural point of reference for Dubai companies wishing to explore the Geneva market.”

The chamber actively contributes to unlocking the full potential of digital sectors and transforming Dubai into a global leader in technology and innovation in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in the digital economy; attract specialised talent, leading companies, and new investments; and create a stimulating environment that supports the growth of digital companies. The chamber was established by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
