Halabja to Host the 11th Annual Pomegranate and Autumn Festival 2025. A Celebration of Resilience, Sustainability, and Cultural Diplomacy

The city of Halabja, renowned for its resilience and cultural revival, will host the 11th Annual Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival 2025. The event highlights the city’s transformation from tragedy to peace and prosperity, celebrating the pomegranate — a symbol of unity, abundance, and hope.

Attracting more than 250,000 visitors annually, the festival has become one of Kurdistan’s largest cultural and agricultural gatherings. It provides a platform for farmers, artisans, and women entrepreneurs to showcase local products, crafts, and music that reflect Halabja’s heritage and sustainable spirit.

As Iraq’s first eco-friendly festival, the event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting local agriculture, green practices, and cultural diplomacy. Businesses and organizations are invited to join as sponsors or partners to support sustainability, community empowerment, and the growing image of Halabja as a global cultural hub.
